ABOUT THE COACH

“Recovery is the true path of the hero.”

Neil Steinberg

“My experience is my guide. My training is my qualification. My story is my credibility.”

I am the owner and founder of Through the Jungle, LLC. which is a coaching business focused on relapse prevention while maneuvering through the jungle of life.

Prior to founding Through the Jungle, LLC., I received my Bachelor Degree and served for over 30 years as a litigation paralegal specializing in family law. For 27 of those 30 years, I walked the halls of one of the top Minneapolis law firms. As a family law paralegal, I learned very quickly how to function under pressure and to deal with people in crisis. The experience and skills gained from working with clients in the midst of the divorce process have proved to be invaluable.

In 2016, I left the paralegal profession to pursue the second chapter in my career: Coaching. I achieved the Certified Professional Co-Active Coach® (CPCC) designation through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). I also earned the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential with the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Part of my personal story involves treatment and recovery from the disease of alcoholism. I have over 35 years of continuous sobriety and still actively participate in a recovery program. I understand the stress and difficulty of trying to stay sober in a culture that loves alcohol. I am also a trauma survivor. I understand the courage it takes to face the past and the ever-looming temptation to return to what’s familiar even if it’s harmful. I’ve been through the jungle and know the way out.
